1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage and pixels — work in comparable ways; this policy calls them all “cookies”. First-party cookies are set by us; third-party cookies are set by another service on our pages.
2. Your choice
On your first visit our banner offers Accept all, Reject non-essential and Preferences, with equal weight. Non-essential categories are off until you switch them on. Your choice is stored for 12 months, after which (or when this policy changes materially) we ask again. You can change or withdraw it at any time:
We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, Marketing cookies stay off. A record of your choice (a random consent ID, the categories, the banner version, the time, the page, your browser’s user-agent and a hash of your IP address) is kept as evidence of consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Categories
- Strictly necessary — required to deliver the site or app, keep it secure, sign you in and remember your cookie choice. Always on; no consent needed.
- Analytics — measure how the site is used in aggregate, so we can improve it. Consent required. We currently use none.
- Marketing — measure campaigns or personalise ads on other sites. Consent required. We currently use none.
If we add an analytics or marketing tool, it will load only after you consent to its category, and we will list it here first.

6. Apps and websites our customers build
Businesses publish their own apps and websites on Uniwork. Those use necessary cookies (for example a uv_… visitor-session cookie for signed-in external users). Any other cookies they add are the responsibility of that business, which should describe them in its own cookie notice.
7. Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop sign-in or forms from working. Deleting cookies also deletes your consent choice, so you will see the banner again.
